About Miracle Flights for Kids®

Founded in Green Valley, Nevada, in 1985, Miracle Flights for Kids is a national nonprofit organization providing no cost air transportation for children and families to hospitals and specialized health care facilities around the country. There is no charge for any of our services. We will fly as far as needed, and as many times as necessary, to meet the needs of the families we serve.

In coordinating these flights, our first approach is to use volunteer pilots and their private or corporate aircraft. When distance prohibits the use of private planes, or if we do not have a pilot and plane available, we will purchase tickets on commercial flights. To date, Miracle Flights for Kids has coordinated 43,000 flights and logged over 23 million miles.

Funding

We accept no federal or state support. Our funding comes from individual, corporate and foundation donations, as well as from special event fundraisers and donor-designated work-place gifts all over the country including the Combined Federal Campaign. Miracle Flights for Kids has strict procedures in place to ensure compliance with the laws governing nonprofit, charitable, and tax-exempt organizations. All donations received are tax deductible. Our CFC number is 2849, and our federal tax ID number is 88-0209952.

Organizational Structure And Management

Miracle Flights for Kids is governed by a multi-faceted Board of' Directors and Advisory Committee. Board members and advisors are experts in their own fields of aviation, law, business, accounting, banking, public service, and community relations. Day-to-day operations are coordinated and overseen by our founder and National President, Ann McGee. A professional staff handles flight operations, development and public information.
